So, I took an impromptu break because I got busy with other things, but I’m back!

I had Blanton’s at a friend’s house once and loved it. The fanciest Blanton’s was sold-out so I had to settle for just the normal single barrel.

Nose – Fresh-cut Grass, slight citrus smell.

Taste-  It tickles my tongue at first with a clear and watery but also rich and creamy taste. Then the finish comes strong.

Finish – Strong peppery alcohol burn. Slight nuttiness. Warm in the center and sides of my tongue. The peppery taste lingers on the side.

So, this wasn’t quite as good as I remember, the finish comes on strong and fast and overpowers the great taste. But maybe a dash of water, or serving is over the rocks would fix that.
